Eurocodes is a series of ten European standards that refer to common technical methods and standardization of structural design rules for building and civil engineering works taking into account the relationship between design rules and the assumptions to be made for construction products, execution and control.
These ten Eurocodes will replace the existing requlations for structural designs in the different European countries from 2008 until 2010

For the smoother passage in the new harmonised technical regulations the Ministry of Interior, as the responsible governmental department for the application of Construction Products Directive with the contribution of CYS has prepared an educational program for the preparation and application of Eurocodes in Cyprus. This responsibility has been assigned to the Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK). |
