Scope of Work<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a member of the committee, you have the opportunity to influence national, European, and international standardisation deliverables in the fields of equipment used in storage tanks and fuel service stations, including underground piping, dispensers, nozzles, swivels and safety devices. It defines material specifications, design, testing methods and performance requirements to ensure safe operation and environmental protection. This work harmonizes infrastructure standards across the fuel distribution sector.<\/p>\n

The scope includes the development of standards and other standardisation deliverables for the full range of equipment used in filling stations and storage tank installations\u2014from underground flexible and rigid pipework transferring liquid fuels and vapours to safety and performance standards for dispensers, nozzles, swivels, shear valves and safe-break devices. It specifies test methods, classification, sampling, terminology and performance criteria to ensure fitness-for-purpose, operational safety and environmental protection. These standards support compliance with EU regulations on equipment in explosive atmospheres and fuel handling systems (e.g. ATEX, machinery and pressure directives).<\/p>\n
