Scope of Work<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a member of the committee, you have the opportunity to influence national, European, and international standardisation deliverables in the fields of waste management processes, sludge characterization and treatment, recycling of end-of-life tyres, and environmental assessment of solid materials. They ensure consistent methods and definitions for sustainable waste handling and resource recovery. \u03a4he standards support circular economy principles and environmental protection across Europe.<\/p>\n

The scope includes the development of standards and other standardisation deliverables for the management and treatment of waste, focusing on operational practices and environmental impacts. CEN\/TC 308 addresses the characterization and sustainable management of sludge, critical for wastewater treatment by-products. CEN\/TC 366 specializes in materials derived from end-of-life tyres, promoting their reuse and recycling. CEN\/TC 444 covers environmental characterization techniques for solid waste matrices to assess contamination and risks. Collectively, their work advances waste valorization, environmental safety, and supports European circular economy objectives.<\/p>\n
