The Cyprus Organization for Standardization (CYS<\/a>) announces the adoption of six (6) ISO<\/strong> International Standards in the field of project management<\/strong> as Cyprus National Standards<\/strong>, following strong support from a wide range of stakeholders across the public and private sectors, including ministries, public authorities, businesses, and professional associations.<\/p>\n

The adopted standards are:<\/p>\n

  1. ISO 21500:2021<\/a> Project, programme and portfolio management \u2014 Context and concepts<\/li>\n
  2. ISO 21502:2020<\/a> Project, programme and portfolio management \u2014 Guidance on project management<\/li>\n
  3. ISO 21503:2022<\/a> Project, programme and portfolio management \u2014 Guidance on programme management<\/li>\n
  4. ISO 21504:2022<\/a> Project, programme and portfolio management \u2014 Guidance on portfolio management<\/li>\n
  5. ISO 21505:2017<\/a> Project, programme and portfolio management \u2014 Guidance on governance<\/li>\n
  6. ISO 21506:2024<\/a> Project, programme and portfolio management \u2014 Vocabulary<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The adoption of ISO standards at national level reflects their internationally proven value and supports enhanced governance, transparency, and alignment with global best practices. Similar initiatives, such as the adoption of CYS ISO 37001 on Anti-bribery Management Systems<\/strong>, have already demonstrated their contribution to strengthening corporate governance and compliance in Cyprus.<\/p>\n

    This suite of standards provides a comprehensive and internationally recognized framework for project, programme, and portfolio management<\/strong>, applicable to organizations of all sizes and sectors.<\/p>\n
