The international standard ISO 32210:2022 “Sustainable finance – Guidance on the application of sustainability principles for organizations in the financial sector”, can be used by any type and size of organization (private and public). Many business executives can be involved in applying the guidelines as stated by ISO 32210:2022. The training will enable business executives to take into account the basic requirements and good practices of this standard. This training is designed to equip participants within the financial services with the knowledge and tools needed to integrate sustainability into their operations. Over the two days, participants will explore the principles of sustainability, guided by the ISO 32210 standard, and learn how to incorporate these principles into financial decision-making. The training delves into the transformative role of FinTech and emerging technologies in promoting sustainable practices and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through a combination of interactive lectures participants will develop actionable strategies to embed sustainability into their organizations, while aligning with global best practices.
Trainer: Mrs Christiana Aristidou. Christiana is a Transnational Technology Lawyer, CEO of “The Hybrid LawTech Firm”, empowered by Christiana Aristidou LLC. She has been practicing business and technology law for more than 27 years and is involved in multijurisdictional business and technology legal projects that introduce innovative business models, leverage advanced and emerging technologies, involve a variety of different regulatory regimes and regulators across the globe and require comparative law approach and analysis in their structures. Christiana is the head of the national delegation to the ISO TC 307 Blockchain Committee actively contributing to WG3 as a project leader for the upcoming standard on the taxonomy and categorization of smart contracts, WG5 on Blockchain Governance and WG6 on Blockchain Use Cases. She is also the National Representative to ISO TC 322 Sustainable Finance, ISO TC 68 Financial Services, ISO TC 68 JWG 1 Digital Currencies and to CEN TC 475 Finance. Additionally, Christiana is the Legal Director of the Blockchain Climate Institute (BCI).
