Mirror Committee 13

t national level the Mirror Committee 13 about Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Electrical, Electronic and Medical Devices is developed in order to observe the activities of the European Technical Committees.

 

In the Mirror Committee 13, representatives from the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK), the Cyprus Consumers Association, the Cyprus Association of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering (CAMPBE), the Cyprus Medical Association, the Department of Labour Inspection of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, the Electrical Engineering Department of the Higher Technical Institute, the Cyprus Organisation for the Promotion of Quality of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the Cyprus Medical Devices Authority of the Ministry of Health, the Electricity Authority of Cyprus, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Cyprus, the Cyprus Federation of Professional Craftsmen and Shopkeepers, the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA), the Environment Service of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment and the Government Purchasing and Supply Department of the Ministry of Finance are participating in the activities conducted by the committee.

 

The draft standards at the public enquiry stage (prENs) are dispatched by CENELEC to CYS. CYS is responsible for sending the draft prENs to the members of MC 13 for comments, observations and views. In the framework of the MC 13, the members of the committee have the opportunity to examine the draft European standards and express their views and considerations regarding the particularities that the Cyprus industry and economy might face. After taking into account the results of the public enquiry stage, the vote of Cyprus is determined and it is dispatched, through CYS, to CENELEC as the official position of the Republic of Cyprus. The titles of the standards that are under the public enquiry stage are available at the website of the Organisation.
