Scope of Work
As a member of the committee, you have the opportunity to influence national, European, and international standardisation deliverables in the fields of primary and secondary cells and batteries. The committee contributes to the standardisation of electrochemical systems, focusing on performance, safety, dimensions, and environmental aspects of batteries used in a wide range of applications, from consumer electronics to industrial and automotive sectors.
The scope includes the development of standards and other standardisation deliverables for the design, testing, and performance of primary cells and batteries, as well as rechargeable (secondary) battery technologies. It also addresses requirements for the safe use, handling, and end-of-life management of batteries, supporting sustainability and innovation in energy storage systems.
As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to participate in international and/or European work. CYS/MC 4.01 Batteries monitors and contributes to the work of the following European and international technical committees:
