Scope of Work
As a member of the committee, you have the opportunity to influence national, European, and international standardisation deliverables in the fields of electrical quantities and units, information structures and documentation, graphical symbols, and system dependability. The committee supports the harmonisation and clarity of electrical and electronic documentation through internationally recognized methods and symbols, and promotes consistency in the use of quantities and units across the electrical sector.
The scope includes the development of standards and other standardisation deliverables that define units of measurement and quantities, ensure the reliability and dependability of systems and components, and establish uniform rules for documentation, graphical representation, and data structuring in electrical engineering and related technologies.
As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to participate in international and/or European work. CYS MC 4.02 monitors and contributes to the work of the following European and international technical committees:
European Technical Committees
- CLC/SR 25 Quantities and units
- CLC/SR 3 Information structures, documentation and graphical symbols
- CLC/SR 56 Dependability
