Scope of Work

As a member of the committee, you have the opportunity to influence national, European, and international standardisation deliverables in the fields of electrical machines, devices, instruments, and equipment. The committee covers a wide range of technologies, including rotating machinery, electromechanical components, capacitors, resistors, semiconductor devices, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), wearable electronics, electroacoustics, nanotechnology, and printed electronics. It also deals with safety, environmental, and performance standards for electrical and electronic appliances, tools, and measurement instruments.

The scope includes the development of standards and other standardisation deliverables related to the assembly, testing, insulation, operation, safety, and performance of electrical and electronic equipment and systems. This includes topics such as electrostatics, optical radiation safety, high-voltage testing, automatic controls, electrical accessories, flat panel displays, and frequency control devices. The committee also addresses graphical symbols, electrotechnical fluids, and the qualification of insulating materials and systems.

As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to participate in international and/or European work. CYS MC 4.05 monitors and contributes to the work of the following European and international technical committees:
