Scope of Work
As a member of the committee, you have the opportunity to influence national, European, and international standardisation deliverables in the fields of electrical safety equipment, including alarm systems, gas detectors, lightning protection, and electric welding systems. The committee also engages in standardisation activities related to emerging technologies such as superconductivity, ensuring that safety considerations are addressed as part of innovation in electrical systems.
The scope includes the development of standards and other standardisation deliverables for the design, installation, testing, and performance of equipment and systems intended to enhance electrical safety. This includes alarm and detection systems, protection against lightning, safety in electric welding processes, and the implementation of gas detection technologies. It also covers safety aspects and technical requirements associated with superconductive electrical systems.
As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to participate in international and/or European work. CYS MC 4.07 monitors and contributes to the work of the following European and international technical committees:
European Technical Committees
- CLC/SR 90 Superconductivity
- CLC/TC 216 Gas detectors
- CLC/TC 26 Electric welding
- CLC/TC 79 Alarm systems
- CLC/TC 81X Lightning protection
International Technical Committees
- IEC/TC 81 Lightning protection
