Scope of Work

As a member of the committee, you have the opportunity to influence national, European, and international standardisation deliverables in the fields of power transmission systems, overhead electrical lines, power electronics, and network asset management. The committee also addresses the standardisation of ultra-high voltage AC systems, aluminium conductors and wires for overhead lines, and low-voltage auxiliary power systems in power plants and substations.

The scope includes the development of standards and other standardisation deliverables for the design, operation, and maintenance of power systems infrastructure, including overhead lines above 1 kV, ACSS conductors, thermal-resistant wires, and supporting components. It also includes deliverables related to information exchange in power systems, the integration of power electronics, and the management of auxiliary power systems, contributing to the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical networks.

As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to participate in international and/or European work. CYS MC 4.09 monitors and contributes to the work of the following European and international technical committees:
