The Cyprus Organization for Standardization (CYS) in the framework of its activities for information and education of stakeholders and the general public on International and European standards successfully co-organized with the Cyprus Human Resource Management Association (CyHRMA) on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 the webinar titled “HR Reporting & Metrics in Recruitment, Selection & Retention”.
The vast experience and know-how of the keynote speaker, Neil McCormick, who comes from the International Standardization and specifically from the International Technical Committee "ISO Technical Committee 260 Human Resource Management" contributed significantly to the overall information towards the Cypriot business community. Neil McCormick's contribution to the development of standards focused on HR Reporting & Metrics was a landmark in the HR arena. Furthermore, Neil McCormick is the convenor of Working Group “Metrics” of ISO TC 260 HRM. Special emphasis was placed on the following standards: ISO 30414 HRM: Guidelines for internal & external human capital reporting και ISO TS 30421 HRM: Turnover & Retention Metrics.
More than 100 individuals participated in the webinar, from a wide range of the Human Resources sector, from Cyprus, Greece, Australia, Finland and Philippines, which proves that this sector recognizes the need to support Metrics & Reporting through the use of standards, as auxiliary tools.
CYS, recognizing that standards, although voluntary, can be helpful tools, actively participates through its national representatives in the work of ISO TC 260 HRM. This participation, as well as the participation in the corresponding national mirror committee of CYS, strengthens the involvement of Cypriot companies in the standardization work of international standards in this field.
