Cyprus Organisation for Standardisation (CYS) proudly announces the successful hosting of an engaging and informative workshop centered on the Public Enquiry of the Draft International Standard ISO/DIS 56001 on Innovation Management Systems - Requirements. This interactive session, organized by CYS and the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aimed to gather valuable insights and feedback from stakeholders and the public regarding this critical certifiable standard.
The workshop, held on 14/12/2023 at the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was designed and delivered exceptionally by Dr Artemis Kontou, our National Delegate at ISO/TC 279 Innovation Management, and served as a platform for participants to delve into the pivotal components of the Draft International Standard ISO/DIS 56001. Attendees were given the opportunity to explore and deliberate on the requirements outlined in the standard, fostering a deeper understanding of its implications and significance in the realm of innovation management.
During the event, experts and representatives from the industry, start-ups, academia and research institutions provided comprehensive comments, stimulating and engaging into productive discussions. The collaborative environment allowed for a diverse exchange of perspectives, experiences, and suggestions from various stakeholders, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive review process for the standard.
The overarching goal of this workshop was to elicit constructive feedback from participants to establish the national position of Cyprus to the Draft International Standard. CYS is committed to ensuring that the final standard aligns with the needs of industries, businesses, and organizations, empowering them to effectively establish and enhance their innovation management processes.
