Τhe European Construction Product Regulation (EU) Nr. CPR 305/2011 entered into force as of 1 July 2013, for the definition of harmonized terms for the marketing of products relating to the construction sector. The CE Mark, which is required to appear on construction materials confirms their conformity with the EU legislation and allows their distribution in the European market.

For a long time now, the existence of European Standards regulations for the design and construction of civil engineering projects, vouches in the best possible way for the quality of the constructions.

The CYS's Mirror Committee CYS MC 001 Civil Engineering & Construction Products operates at a National level in the civil engineer sector.

Additionally, there are nine National Technical Standardization Committees, which are active in the sector undertaking the development and manage updates to the National Standards and / or National Annexes, always in line with European standards, European and National regulations.
